The swamp stops abruptly at the Sepulcher, and the ground turns to sand.

The party couldn't open the door. The Pale Bullywug could.

Someone catalogued these realms. Someone built constructs to keep the records sorted, in a room where the swamp isn't allowed to reach.

That is the second archive the party has walked into — the requisition clerk was the first. Both were still working.
